New statement from MHP regarding Devlet Bahçeli's health! Harsh response to social media claims

A statement has been issued regarding the health of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, who underwent heart surgery. Bahçeli's advisor Eyyup Yıldız stated, "Our Chairman has been discharged and has returned to Ankara; with God's permission, he will resume his duties shortly after his recovery period."

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli underwent a heart valve procedure on February 4 and was discharged on February 14.

Bahçeli, who has not appeared before the press since that day, did not hold his party's routine weekly group meeting yesterday.

The first statement from the MHP regarding Bahçeli's health has been released.

MHP Chief Advisor to the Chairman Eyyup Yıldız, reminding that Bahçeli was discharged on February 14, said, "Our leader will resume his duties shortly after his recovery period, with God's permission."

Calling the rumors circulating on social media a "slander and smear campaign," Yıldız used the following expressions in a post on his social media account regarding Bahçeli's health status:

“Reminding everyone of the text previously shared with the public by our MHP Headquarters, we say:

Our leader, our Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, was admitted to the Anadolu Health Center in Gebze, Kocaeli, on February 4, 2025, for previously planned examinations, tests, and check-ups. As a result of the evaluations, an issue was detected in the heart valve he had previously undergone surgery for, and a successful interventional procedure was performed. Having completed his treatment process as of February 14, 2025, our Chairman has been discharged and has returned to Ankara; with God's permission, he will resume his duties shortly after his recovery period.

However, the fear of Turkey's enemies, networks of betrayal, and centers of discord has once again come to light. Traitors who have no share in God, the nation, or justice are trying to distort the truth through slander and smear campaigns on social media. These gangs of betrayal are afraid of our leader's upright stance, his commitment to his nation, and the struggle he has shown for his homeland. Because they know that our leader Devlet Bahçeli will continue to be a defender of this nation, this homeland, and the Turkish-Islamic ideal as long as he has breath!

It should be known that Turkey's march toward stability, its step-by-step approach to the goal of a terror-free Turkey, and the successful processes carried out abroad have disturbed certain circles. This is the concern of those who want to sow discord and mislead the nation! However, it should not be forgotten that tongues that slander, hands that spread lies, and traitors who sow seeds of discord will sooner or later face the slap of the nation!

Our Chairman has risen with prayers and the love of his nation. His breath, his voice, and his heart echo in every member of the Turkish nation. No matter what they do, no matter what slander they cast, the will of those with strong faith is also strong!

All technical and legal processes regarding these vile campaigns conducted over our leader's health are being meticulously carried out, and those spreading this discord are being identified one by one.
