New statement from Minister Tekin regarding teacher appointments: 'If the cabinet meets...'

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin made statements regarding teacher appointments during a live broadcast program.

Tekin said, "If the cabinet meets next week, the number of teachers to be appointed will be announced." 

"WE WANT TO MAKE THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF APPOINTMENTS POSSIBLE"

In his statement, Minister Yusuf Tekin said, "During the AK Party government period, 799 thousand 517 of our approximately 1 million 100 thousand teachers have been appointed so far.

We have appointed 75 percent of them. Both our President and we want to make the highest number of appointments possible, and we will make appointments.

We will announce the teacher appointments next week on Monday if the cabinet meeting takes place. We have reached an agreement on the figure."
