New statement from Yılmaz Tunç regarding TÜSİAD's controversial remarks: 'Interference in our legal system'

Orhan Turan, President of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), drew significant backlash with his speech at the general assembly held recently.
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made exclusive remarks to Murat Kelkitlioğlu, who was a guest on the program Eşit Ağırlık with Erdoğan Aktaş on TV100.
Yılmaz Tunç said, "TÜSİAD's statement amounts to interference in our legal system. Everyone has the freedom to express their opinions, but TÜSİAD is attempting to damage our legal system by focusing on specific investigations they have chosen. They claim foreign investment is not coming because there is no legal security in Turkey. While foreign investment received in the 80-year period until 2022 was 15 billion dollars, the foreign investment received from 2022 to date is 272 billion dollars.
"THEY ARE ACTING AS SPOKESPEOPLE FOR FOREIGNERS"
In 2024 alone, this figure is 11.3 billion dollars. Exports, which were 36 billion dollars in 2022, are now over 260 billion dollars. What is it? They say Turkey is behind Israel in press freedom. Those people slaughtered 200 journalists in just a few months. How could we be behind them? There are indices created by foreigners as part of a black propaganda campaign. These friends are using these indices to act as spokespeople for these foreigners.

We are fighting against inflation. For this, we want an environment of peace and stability, not tension. However, some are walking around to stir up the country, as if to say, 'Open an investigation into us.' We do not want any of these investigations to happen.

This also came up in the most recent CHP convention investigation. CHP members themselves raised allegations of corruption. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu asked the current CHP management, 'Why aren't you answering these?' Delegates lined up to give statements, but we were the ones blamed again.
