New 'Tosuncuk' case in Ankara: 50 million lira fraud uncovered

Doğancan D., who worked at the State Hydraulic Works in Ankara, collected money from his colleagues by claiming he had established a turkey farm in Diyarbakır, promising high earnings. While some gave their savings, others took out loans to participate in the project. However, after a while, Doğancan D. stopped showing up for work and stopped answering his phone.

50 MILLION DEFRAUDED

When the suspicious victims reported the situation to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an investigation was launched. The investigation revealed that Doğancan D. had defrauded 40 people of approximately 50 million lira. While police seized digital materials at the suspect's home, information was obtained that Doğancan D. had a criminal record and had fled to different cities.

VICTIMS FILED COMPLAINTS

One of the defrauded victims stated that Doğancan D. convinced them by saying he would "generate large income through a turkey farm investment" and that they took out a loan to provide the money based on this promise. Stating that they realized they had been defrauded when they could no longer reach the suspect, the victim filed a complaint for justice to be served.

POLICE ON THE SUSPECT'S TRAIL

Tracking Doğancan D. as part of the investigation, teams determined that the suspect had gone to Çanakkale and had booked a bus ticket to Çorlu, Tekirdağ. The police are continuing their efforts to apprehend the suspect.
