Newborn baby found in his garden
An individual in Istanbul found a newborn baby in his garden. The baby has been taken to intensive care.

A newborn baby was found in the garden of a house in the Pendik district of Istanbul. The baby, who was discovered after crying sounds were heard, was taken to the hospital by medical teams and placed in intensive care.
The incident occurred on March 1 at approximately 04:30 in the Pendik district. According to reports, a citizen named Bayram Çakır heard crying sounds in his garden in the early morning hours. Upon going to the source of the sound, Çakır realized there was a newborn baby.
Police teams arrived following the report and handed the baby over to medical personnel. The police took a statement from the individual who found the baby and launched an investigation into the incident.
Nermin Çakır, who lives in the apartment building where the incident took place, said, "The upstairs neighbor called out, and I went down. I picked up the child and wrapped him up with my husband, then the upstairs neighbor also came, and we called the police. They arrived; the child was naked, just born, and alive. We called the police with my husband. Since the morning, we have been at the police station; first the police came, then the ambulance came and took him to the hospital."
Speaking about the incident, Refika Bolat said, "They left the baby here on the dirt, but they left him face down. We don't know; an ambulance took the baby. We don't know who left him. Currently, the police are conducting an investigation. They left him in the dirt area."
