Newborn baby gang: Owner of Private Şafak Hospital turns out to be the in-law of MHP's Celal Adan
The political connections of Seçim Öztürk, the owner of Private Şafak Hospital—one of the hospitals that collaborated with the newborn baby gang—have been revealed. Seçim Öztürk is the in-law of MHP Deputy Speaker of Parliament Celal Adan.

Turkey's agenda is focused on the newborn baby gang. The indictment prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been completed regarding 47 suspects, 22 of whom are under arrest, who were determined to have acted in collusion with individuals working at the 112 Emergency Call Center to refer newborn emergency patients to the neonatal units of private hospitals they had pre-arranged with, causing deaths and obtaining illicit gains.
HOSPITAL DID NOT RESPOND
The indictment revealed that there were 19 hospitals that the newborn gang had agreements with. Private Şafak Hospitals are among these 19 hospitals. When we called the hospital, the people we spoke to said that no one wanted to comment on the matter.
The political connections of Seçim Öztürk, the owner of Private Şafak Hospitals, also drew attention. Öztürk's daughter, Ceyda Öztürk, and Sinan Buğra Adan, the son of Turkish Grand National Assembly Deputy Speaker Celal Adan, were married in 2021 at a wedding held at the Çırağan Palace.
BAHÇELİ AND YILDIRIM WERE WITNESSES
Leading figures from the business and political worlds attended the wedding dinner. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the then-Speaker of the TBMM Mustafa Şentop, the then-Vice President Fuat Oktay, the then-Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, and the then-Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu were among the guests.
Binali Yıldırım and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli were among the couple's wedding witnesses.
It was also learned that Seçim Öztürk, the owner of the Şafak hospitals, was frequently visited by AKP and MHP figures.
