As the number of detainees increases within the scope of the investigation conducted into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), a space problem has begun to emerge at Silivri Prison. In order to make room for new detainees, some current inmates have begun to be transferred to prisons in different provinces.
8 PEOPLE, INCLUDING MURAT ÇALIK, ARE BEING TRANSFERRED TO İZMİR
Among the detainees held in Silivri No. 9 Prison is Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık. According to the information obtained, a total of 8 people, including Çalık, will be transferred to prisons in İzmir. Publicly well-known figures such as Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Özer, Buğra Gökce, and Resul Emrah Şahan are also currently held in the aforementioned prison.
