Non-prosecution decision overturned in Burak Oğraş case, arrest warrant issued!

A new development has occurred in the case of 16-year-old Burak Oğraş, who died under suspicious circumstances in 2011 while interning at the Rixos Hotel in Antalya, owned by businessman Fettah Tamince.

The Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has reopened the file, which had remained unresolved for years and had been subject to a non-prosecution decision; the non-prosecution decision for the file involving 6 suspects has been lifted.

The news was announced on social media by the father, Murat Oğraş, who has never given up on his son's quest for justice for years.

Father Oğraş's post is as follows:

Four of the suspects were students who were interning with Burak at the time. The other 2 suspects were two cooks whom the Rixos Hotel allowed to stay in the same dormitory as the students under the age of 18.

At the time, the cook F.P. was 42 and C.A. was 26. In 2021, F.P. was summoned to testify but was released by the court to which he was referred with a request for arrest.

C.A., on the other hand, could not be reached on the grounds that he was abroad.

Later, the non-prosecution decisions issued for both individuals were lifted after the prosecutor on the case was changed. The prosecutor, who reviewed the file that has been open for 14 years, not only lifted the non-prosecution decision but also issued arrest warrants for both F.P. and C.A.
