Holiday greeting visits between political parties have begun due to Eid al-Adha.

The CHP delegation, consisting of Deputy Chairman and Zonguldak MP Deniz Yavuzyılmaz, CHP Women's Branch Central Executive Board (MYK) member Azize Çeroğlu, and Youth Branch MYK member Eda Albayrak, paid a holiday visit to the AKP Headquarters. The CHP delegation was welcomed at the door by AKP Deputy Chairman Belgin Uygur, Deputy Chairman Raşide Yüksel, Women's Branch MYK member Ayten Aydın, and Youth Branch member Tahir Taha Kara.

During the holiday greeting visit, AKP's Belgin Uygur said, "The ideals we focus on may be different. But it is very important that our dialogue channels remain open. On your behalf, we congratulate the entire CHP on Eid al-Adha."

Taking the floor afterwards, CHP's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz brought the subject to the expectation of an increase in the minimum wage, saying, "Words fly away, writing remains. There is a great expectation among our citizens for an improvement in the minimum wage in the coming period. If the improvement of the economy is truly a concern, the minimum wage must definitely be improved. If it is not improved, we will be in the field to be the voice of our citizens. We will make our strong voice heard. We hope you will deliver this good news during this holiday."

Uygur's response to these words was, "We will continue to carry the trust we received from our nation in the best way possible." Yavuzyılmaz replied to Uygur with the words, "Well, it's not always about taking, one also needs to give a little."

The delegation, headed by AKP Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK) member Hasan Sert, was welcomed by a delegation led by CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yücel. During the meeting held between the two delegations, wishes were expressed for the strengthening of feelings of friendship, unity, and solidarity.

Speaking here, AKP MKYK member Hasan Sert stated that Turkey is a country that needs to strengthen and grow, adding, "Turkey is a country with a lot of responsibility on its shoulders. We can only overcome this with unity and solidarity. It is normal to have different thoughts from each other. It is very normal for different political parties to produce different political arguments. This should be met correctly. When it comes to the country's issues, we must be able to achieve a little more sacrifice and we must be able to work together for Turkey's success."

Stating that citizens have not been able to experience the holiday as a holiday in recent times, CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yücel pointed out the necessity of working together for a system where a retired couple, a worker, and a laborer can achieve prosperity. Underlining that the normalization and dialogue process that began after the March 31 elections is valuable for his party, Yücel assessed, "We are aware of the responsibility our nation gave us in the March 31 local elections. By saying right is right, good is good, and wrong is wrong, we are always ready to struggle together with a common mind so that our country can reach the good places it deserves. This dialogue and communication are very valuable. It is indispensable for democracy. Its continuation is very important for both our nation and our country."

Upon Yücel's words, Sert stated that as a result of fires, floods, disasters, and wars in inter-state geographies occurring in the world, Turkey and the world are going through a major turbulence, and these situations have disrupted economic and political balances in the world, adding, "We need to be able to write Turkey's success story. States grow with economy and are governed by politics. We have to take both politics and the economy to a positive point in a planned manner. We expect your successes in local governments to a large extent. We have to carry out these successes in the central government as well. It is important for the country to be able to take certain positions comfortably in the future that the central government and local governments can successfully carry out the work they need to do together. We have a high belief that this process will continue in this way and that the country will win from this process. We all need to take a position at this point and carry out the work that will create a positive atmosphere."

Upon this, Yücel added that the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has lost its former function in recent times, stating that there are some well-intentioned efforts, but the problems experienced can only be solved by improving the check-and-balance mechanism.

CHP-DEM PARTY HOLIDAY GREETINGS

The holiday greeting work between political parties continued on the second day of Eid al-Adha. In this context, a DEM Party delegation paid a visit to the CHP Headquarters for the holiday. The delegation, headed by DEM Party Diyarbakır MP Sevilay Çelenk, was welcomed by a delegation led by CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yücel.

Speaking here, Çelenk stated that the issue of the trustee (kayyum) generally makes her party uneasy, saying, "We were uneasy, wondering if we would experience the same wave again. CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yücel stated that no results can be obtained with these methods in any way, saying, "There are examples in the past. You achieved that success in certain provinces again in the March 31 Local Elections. If there are certain allegations and evidence, it is not that no one can be investigated or tried. The legal process of the matter is separate; that process proceeds in its own channel. The trustee practice came as a result of the amendment made to the municipal law after the July 15 coup attempt. However, there are municipal council members elected there. Under normal circumstances, a deputy mayor was elected from within after the amendment, but they abolished this. It is shameful for democracy that they can do this just by opening an investigation without a court decision or a lawsuit."

Upon Yücel's words, Çelenk claimed that the trustee issue is in the nature of a coup, replying, "Ultimately, when we look at the issue of the ongoing file, even people like us who have spent 30 years in academia have been tried in Heavy Penal Courts. In such a geography, it is difficult to find someone who does not have an old file. If we consider that all candidacies were approved by the YSK (Supreme Election Council), this actually says nothing. The municipal councils can already do this from within themselves. We all see that it was tried in Van, a step back was taken, but it was not abandoned. I think it is also a result of the cliquishness within themselves. I wish we were talking about other things instead of this on a holiday."

MHP Deputy Chairman Sadir Durmaz visited the New Welfare Party (YRP) with his accompanying delegation. The health status of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli was discussed during the two parties' holiday greeting ceremony.
