Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu attended the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day celebration ceremony at the Taksim Republic Monument. During the ceremony, İmamoğlu called a child who was present over to his side and patted his head. The child also stood in a moment of silence beside İmamoğlu.

İmamoğlu was accompanied by CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik and Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney.

During the ceremony, İmamoğlu called a child who was present over to his side and patted his head. The child also stood in a moment of silence beside İmamoğlu.

İmamoğlu then chatted with the child for a while.
