A ceremony was held at the TBMM for the late former Minister of State and Deputy Prime Minister Nahit Menteşe.

In addition to Menteşe's family and relatives, the ceremony was attended by TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, Deputy Speaker of the TBMM Celal Adan, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, Democrat Party Chairman Gültekin Uysal, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, former Parliamentary Speakers Bülent Arınç and Cemil Çiçek, former Prime Minister Tansu Çiller, members of parliament, and parliamentary staff.

During the ceremony, the interaction between MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu was captured on camera. After conveying his condolences to the Menteşe family, Dervişoğlu greeted TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and then came face-to-face with Bahçeli. It was noted that the two did not shake hands.
