Journalist Furkan Karabay was arrested due to his reporting and social media posts regarding Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, who was arrested and sent to prison in recent weeks, after which a trustee was appointed to his position. 10Haber reporter Karabay was brought before the court by the prosecutor's office with a direct request for arrest without being asked a single question. Karabay, who was arrested and sent to prison, shared his message regarding the 86th anniversary of Atatürk's passing via his social media account.
