'Nullity' traffic in politics: 'Urgent call from Bülent Arınç to the Court of Cassation'

Bülent Arınç, one of the founding members of the AKP and former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), made significant statements regarding the chaos that erupted after the Ankara Regional Court of Justice issued an "absolute nullity" ruling concerning the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress. Pointing to the political deadlock, Arınç emphasized that the Court of Cassation must urgently intervene in the situation and resolve the matter.
The court-ordered transfer of the CHP chairmanship from Özgür Özel back to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has become the main agenda item not only within the CHP but across all of Turkish politics and in the corridors of Parliament. Sharing a post on his social media account regarding the issue, Bülent Arınç stated that he shares the concerns raised by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli and the DEM Party front, and addressed the high judiciary.

Stating that he closely followed the group meetings held in the TBMM yesterday, Arınç emphasized the validity of the reflexes shown by the political party leaders:
"Mr. Bahçeli, regarding the situation the main opposition party is in, in terms of Turkish politics and democracy; and Mr. Bakırhan, focusing on the risks the current situation poses for a Turkey without terrorism (the peace process), are both expressing that the Court of Cassation must urgently make a decision and put an end to this chaotic environment. I find this approach quite appropriate and sound."
