Number of detentions in police station attack rises to 9

The number of people detained in the investigation into the attack on a police station in the Balçova district of İzmir has risen to 9. Four suspects identified as having links to the attacker were apprehended in İzmir, one in Istanbul, two in Ankara, and one in Şanlıurfa.

The number of detentions is increasing as part of the investigation into the attack on a police station in the Balçova district of İzmir, which resulted in the martyrdom of 2 police officers and the injury of 2 others.

Following the capture of the 16-year-old attacker, E.B., who was apprehended wounded, his father N.B., his mother A.B., and two of his friends had been taken into custody in the investigation launched after the incident.

The number of suspects rose to 9 following the subsequent detention of Khaleg Nooriborojerdi in Istanbul, B.Y. and C.T. in Ankara, and M.A. in Şanlıurfa.
