Number of detentions rises in Istanbul Courthouse terror attack investigation
The number of suspects detained in the investigation into the terror attack on the police checkpoint in front of the Istanbul Courthouse has reached 90.

The two terrorists, members of the DHKP/C terrorist organization, who opened fire with guns at the police checkpoint in front of the Istanbul Justice Palace in Çağlayan, Istanbul, at approximately 11:49 a.m. yesterday, were killed in a clash with police. One citizen lost their life, while 6 people, including 3 police officers, were injured.
Following the attack, chain operations have been carried out in Istanbul since yesterday against individuals connected to the incident.
Raids were carried out consecutively on 67 addresses by teams from the Intelligence Branch and the Counter-Terrorism Branch. It has been learned that the number of suspects detained in the operations, which have been ongoing since yesterday in many locations, primarily in İkitelli, Küçükçekmece, the Armutlu neighborhood of Sarıyer, Okmeydanı in Beyoğlu, and Esenyurt, has risen to 90.
It was determined that the perpetrators of the attack attempt carried out at the police checkpoint in front of the C Gate of the Justice Palace arrived at the courthouse by metrobus and boarded public transport at a stop in Esenyurt. Found on the two terrorists, who were neutralized after police at the checkpoint returned fire, and in their bag were 48 pistol cartridges, 56 plastic handcuffs, a device made to look like a bomb, bandages, a banner with organizational content, and 2 pepper sprays.
