Number of people who perform daily prayers in Turkey has decreased

Asal Research has shared with the public its survey titled 'How often do you perform prayers?', conducted in April 2022 and August 2024.

According to the survey, while the rate of those who said 'I perform all daily prayers' was 23 percent in April 2022, it was noted that this rate fell to 18.8 percent in August 2024.

The survey also showed that while the response 'I do not perform prayers' was 41.8 percent in 2022, it rose to 44.5 percent in 2024.

The research company shared its results with the following statements:

"How often do you perform prayers?

I perform all daily prayers: 18.8%

I only perform Friday/holiday/gratitude prayers: 36.7%

I do not perform prayers: 44.5%

August 2024 2,000"
