Progressive Lawyers Association (ÇHD) Honorary President Selçuk Kozağaçlı has been taken back into custody less than 24 hours after his release from prison.

ÇHD Honorary President Selçuk Kozağaçlı, who had been imprisoned since 2017 at the Marmara Penal Execution Institution in Silivri, Istanbul, on charges of 'membership in the DHKP/C terrorist organization,' was released yesterday evening.

Kozağaçlı's release was announced on the ÇHD's social media account with the note, "Our honorary president, lawyer Selçuk Kozağaçlı, has been released."

According to the report by Ceylan Sever from Habertürk, the prosecutor's office objected to this release, and the court accepted the objection, issuing an arrest warrant for Kozağaçlı.
