According to the appointment decisions in the Official Gazette, the incoming and outgoing ministers have been determined.
NEW HEALTH MINISTER ANNOUNCED
According to the appointment decisions in the Official Gazette, Kemal Memişoğlu, who was currently serving as the Istanbul Provincial Health Director, has been appointed as the Minister of Health, replacing Fahrettin Koca.
WHO IS KEMAL MEMİŞOĞLU?
Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu is originally from Rize and was born in Trabzon in 1966.
He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. He received his General Surgery specialization from Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital in 1995.
Between 1996 and 1998, he worked as a General Surgery Specialist at SSK Konya Ereğli Hospital, PTT Hospital, and Bursa Military Hospital. He was at the University of Miami Liver and Gastrointestinal Transplantation unit between 1999 and 2000. He served as Chief Assistant in the Department of General Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine between 2000 and 2002. At the end of 2002, he was appointed as Chief Physician at PTT Hospital. He became an Associate Professor of General Surgery in 2008 and a Professor of General Surgery in 2016.
He completed his Master's degree in Health Management, which he started at Beykent University in 2007, in 2009. He served as the Chief Physician of Istanbul Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital between 2002 and 2012.
On 02-11-2012, he was appointed as the President of Medical Services of the Istanbul Anatolian North Region Public Hospitals Association. He served as the General Secretary of the same association between May 2014 and October 2016. On October 6, 2016, he was appointed as the Istanbul Provincial Health Director.
Prof. Dr. Memişoğlu has numerous scientific publications in national and international journals. He is married and a father of 3 children.
NEW MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT, URBANIZATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE ANNOUNCED
According to the appointment decisions in the Official Gazette, Murat Kurum has been appointed as the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, replacing Mehmet Özhaseki.
MURAT KURUM RETURNS TO THE CABINET
Murat Kurum, who was most recently fielded by the AKP as the candidate for Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality against Ekrem İmamoğlu in the local elections, could not achieve the desired success after the election campaign he managed and lost to Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Murat Kurum, who had not been seen in public after the elections, has returned to the Cabinet by taking over the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, from which Özhaseki resigned due to health problems.

Just like our minister Mehmet Özhaseki, from whom we will take over the flag, we will continue to work and run in every corner of our 81 provinces, especially in all our cities where the disaster of the century was experienced.
