Oğan's election remarks go viral! 'Were we supposed to choose the alliance supported by the HDP?'

Entering the 2023 elections as the Presidential Candidate of the ATA Alliance, Sinan Oğan made a surprise breakthrough by receiving 5.17% of the vote in the first round, leading the elections to a runoff. In the second round, People's Alliance Presidential Candidate Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu were set to compete.

Before the second round, there was curiosity regarding which candidate Sinan Oğan would support. Having met with the candidates of both alliances, Sinan Oğan held a press conference and announced that he had decided to support Erdoğan.

Sinan Oğan, who received significant backlash from the opposition front, faced allegations regarding an increase in his assets shortly after the election.

"WERE WE SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE THE ALLIANCE SUPPORTED BY THE HDP?"

In a program he attended after the election, Oğan defended his support to re-elect Erdoğan as President with the words, "Were we not supposed to choose the alliance that includes Devlet Bahçeli, and instead choose the alliance supported by the HDP?"

Following MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's invitation for terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan to speak in Parliament, his proposal for his release under the 'Right to Hope', and most recently his meeting in Parliament with the DEM Party delegation that visited İmralı, Oğan's pre-election speech has gone viral on social media.
