Oğuz Murat Aci's wife Şükriye Aci: 'Frankly, I find the term blood money very hurtful'

Şükriye Aci, the wife of Oğuz Murat Aci who lost his life in a traffic accident, responded to criticisms publicly referred to as "blood money." In an interview with journalist Ayşe Arman, Aci stated that this term deeply wounded her, saying, "It is as if I have sold my husband's blood for something. It is not an accurate expression."

Aci had recently made headlines for withdrawing her complaint against Eylem Tok and her son Timur Cihantimur. She stated that the reasons behind this decision included avoiding the exhausting nature of a long legal process and considering her child's future. She also noted that the tension she experienced with her husband's family played a role in this decision.

Emphasizing that the statement regarding the compensation of material and moral damages was a technical sentence included in a legal petition, Aci said, "Nothing can bring my husband back. Neither my husband, nor my destroyed home, nor the dreams we built together..."

'VERY HURTFUL'

Stating that the term "blood money" is an approach that trivializes the pain she is experiencing, Aci said, "This expression is very hurtful. It is as if I have sold my husband's blood for something."
