Ömer Çelik responds to Özel's 'accomplice' remark: 'Political aggression'

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik responded on his social media account to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's statement, "Bahçeli should not push his accomplice toward us."

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik reacted to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's remarks regarding MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's "alliance" statement yesterday, in which Özel said, "Mr. Bahçeli should not take the easy way out; he should not push his accomplice toward us after bringing the country to this state."

In a statement on his social media account, Çelik noted the following:

"Mr. Özel calling the components of the People's Alliance 'accomplices' is a disrespectful political aggression that does not befit the atmosphere of political courtesy.

The People's Alliance continues on its path with a strong unity and has the power to respond to all kinds of aggression on the grounds of politics and law. We view Mr. Özel's making such an inappropriate statement following our President's return visit as an effort to address the discomfort within the CHP regarding the politics he is pursuing."
