Tekin announced that a one-minute moment of silence will be held for the fallen soldiers in all primary and secondary education institutions before the flag ceremony on Monday, January 15.
Minister of National Education Tekin stated the following:
"As the Ministry of National Education, our most general goal is to raise our children as individuals who adopt, protect, and develop the national, moral, humanitarian, spiritual, and cultural values of the Turkish Nation; who love and always strive to exalt their family, homeland, and nation; and who know their duties and responsibilities towards the Republic of Türkiye and have turned these into behavior.
With this awareness, in order to keep the cherished memories of the sons of the homeland who were martyred in the Claw-Lock Operation region on January 12, 2024, alive, to show our gratitude as an educational family, and to equip the rising new generation with the love of the homeland spiritually, physically, and morally, a 1 (one) minute moment of silence will be held in all primary and secondary education institutions affiliated with our Ministry before the flag ceremony on January 15, 2024. May the souls of our dear martyrs be blessed and their places be high."
