The accident occurred on Friday, March 1, around 20:00 on the Kemerburgaz road.

According to allegations, Oğuz Murat Acı (29), Tahsin Arslan (23), Süleyman Arslan (21), Hasan Topal (25), and İbrahim Gümüş (27), who set out from Sarıyer on 3 ATVs, stopped on the shoulder of the Kemerburgaz road after one of the vehicles broke down.

Oğuz Murat Acı, who was married and a father of one, tried to take precautions by turning on the lights of one of the ATVs.

The others were attending to the broken-down vehicle. At that moment, a luxury SUV, whose driver's name could not be learned, hit those waiting on the shoulder. Due to the impact, 5 people were thrown into the wooded area. According to allegations, the SUV driver left his own vehicle, got into another vehicle coming from behind that contained his friends, and fled the scene. Oğuz Murat Acı lost his life at the scene of the accident, and 4 people were injured.
