WHAT HAPPENS IF MTV IS NOT PAID ON TIME?
Vehicle owners who do not make their payments by January 31 will face sanctions such as late interest and electronic liens (e-haciz).
On the other hand, the MTV must be paid for vehicle sales and transfer transactions. In this context, if the MTV is not paid, vehicle inspections cannot be performed, and registration cancellation procedures due to withdrawal from traffic, scrapping, or exporting abroad cannot be carried out.
WHERE CAN MTV PAYMENTS BE MADE?
The first installment of the Motor Vehicle Tax can be paid via the Digital Tax Office (dijital.gib.gov.tr) or the GIB Mobile application (Google Play, App Store, Huawei AppGallery) between 00:10 and 23:50 using bank or credit cards from contracted banks, bank transfer methods, cards issued by banks operating in foreign countries, as well as through banks authorized to collect taxes, tax office counters, and PTT branches.

The MTV amounts for this year have been increased by 43.93 percent in line with the revaluation rate published in the Official Gazette.
