“Martyr Hakan Telli” operation against the “Anucur” gang in Istanbul

In the incident that took place in the Merkez neighborhood of Kağıthane in August 2023, a Mobile Park team affiliated with the Kağıthane District Police Department Patrol Teams Bureau had raided an address at midnight.

During the raid on the house, where it was determined that drug trafficking was taking place, police teams were fired upon with long-barreled and automatic weapons.

As a result of the gunfire, police officer Hakan Telli was martyred, while officer A.Y.Ç. was shot in the chest and seriously injured.

One of the attackers, Diyar Anucur (18), was neutralized (killed). Attackers identified as O.A. (27), A.A. (19), K.T. (22), and G.D. (19), who opened fire on the police, were also detained. All these moments of conflict and the events that transpired were captured on camera moment by moment.

In the days following the incident, Istanbul Police Department teams carried out operations against the “Anucur” criminal organization that martyred police officer Hakan Telli and captured numerous individuals. In the investigation into the criminal organization, a lawsuit was filed against 51 defendants, with prison sentences ranging from 5 to 146 years requested for each.

SPECIAL OPERATIONS-SUPPORTED OPERATION AGAINST THE “ANUCUR” GANG

While efforts against the gang continued, police from the Kağıthane Public Security Bureau determined that “Anucur” gang members were trafficking drugs at two addresses in the Hamidiye neighborhood.

Following the investigations, a simultaneous operation was carried out on the identified addresses with the support of special operations police. Entering the apartment by breaking down the door with a battering ram, police teams neutralized 3 suspects.

AUTOMATIC WEAPON, BALLISTIC VEST, SKI MASKS, AND DRUGS

Subsequently, the Kağıthane Public Security Bureau police, who searched the apartment, seized an automatic weapon known as an “Uzi” and its ammunition, 92 pieces of bonzai, 6 pieces of cocaine, pills sold with a red prescription, a precision scale, a ballistic vest, and ski masks in a drawer in the kitchen section.

After the searches, the 3 handcuffed individuals were detained and taken to the police station.

3 GANG MEMBERS ARRESTED

Tuğcan U., who has 2 criminal records, Doğanay D., who has 2 criminal records, and Hazal G., who were taken to the courthouse after their statements were taken at the police station, were arrested for “drug trafficking” and “violation of the law on firearms” and sent to prison.
