Operation against arms smugglers in 27 provinces
A total of 259 suspects were apprehended in operations conducted by the Gendarmerie General Command against arms smugglers and individuals possessing unlicensed firearms across 27 provinces.

As a result of operations carried out by Provincial Gendarmerie Commands under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the Gendarmerie General Command's Departments of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) and Public Order in Aksaray, Ankara, Antalya, Artvin, Balıkesir, Batman, Bitlis, Burdur, Bursa, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Hatay, Iğdır, İzmir, Kocaeli, Konya, Mardin, Muş, Nevşehir, Ordu, Samsun, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Trabzon, and Van; 1 illegal arms manufacturing workshop, 27 long-barreled rifles, 147 unlicensed pistols, and various quantities of parts, tools, and equipment used in the production of weapons were seized.
Legal proceedings were initiated against the suspects under Law No. 6136.
