Operation against 'faith healers' in Kütahya: 4 people detained

In Kütahya, 4 people have been detained on allegations of exploiting people's religious sentiments to gain unfair profit through witchcraft, amulet writing, and faith healing.

Teams from the Kütahya Provincial Police Department's Fraud, Morals, Homicide, and Theft Bureaus conducted simultaneous raids on 4 residences and 1 workplace belonging to 4 individuals identified as exploiting people's religious sentiments by engaging in faith healing, amulet writing, and witchcraft.

During the operations, suspects identified as E.G. (25), N.K. (47), D.B. (60), and C.Ö. (66) were apprehended.

Searches of the workplace and residences resulted in the seizure of 200 amulets, framed pictures containing various symbols, pieces of cloth with various symbols, various herbs, journals containing records of debts and credits, and various materials used in witchcraft and amulet-related activities.

The processing of the detained individuals at the police station is ongoing.
