Operation against FETÖ's gendarmerie structure in Ankara
Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and through a joint effort by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and law enforcement, 10 out of 16 suspects have been detained in an operation targeting the FETÖ/PDY structure within the Gendarmerie General Command.

An operation decision was made within the scope of an investigation conducted by the Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In line with the instructions, the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and law enforcement agencies carried out a joint operation. In the operation targeting the FETÖ/PDY gendarmerie structure, 10 out of 16 suspects were apprehended.
ANKARA-BASED OPERATION
Within the scope of the investigation, detention warrants were issued for 16 suspects determined to be involved in the "covert services" structure of the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization targeting the Gendarmerie General Command.
It was determined that although the suspects had previously been tried for membership in an armed terrorist organization, they continued their organizational activities based on findings from subsequently obtained digital materials, technical and physical surveillance, as well as statements and photo identifications.
Examinations revealed that the suspects maintained their contact with the organization even after the dates of their indictments and were involved in the organization's current financial structure.
In this direction, it was decided to initiate detention procedures starting from February 24, 2026, with Ankara as the base.
In the operations, 10 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. While efforts to apprehend one suspect continue, it was determined that 5 suspects had fled abroad through illegal means.
It was reported that the procedures for referring the detained suspects to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, as part of the investigation into the structure within the Gendarmerie General Command, are being carried out by teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch.
