The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau has carried out operations targeting FETÖ.
In a statement regarding the operations, the Prosecutor's Office said, "Within the scope of investigations conducted by our Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau, it has been determined that 10 officer/non-commissioned officer suspects—1 currently on active duty and 9 previously dismissed/discharged—had ties and connections to the structure of the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization that infiltrated the Naval Forces Command, known as 'covert services.' It was determined that they communicated with civilian imams by using payphones and fixed lines located in public workplaces such as kiosks, grocery stores, and markets in various districts across Ankara, and there were also testimonies identifying them as members of the organization. It was decided to detain the suspects in 3 provinces, with Ankara as the center, starting from 17.09.2025. All suspects have been apprehended and detained, and procedures for their referral to our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office are being continued by teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling Branch."
