Operation against FETÖ's secret police structure! Many detained
As part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the secret police structure of the FETÖ armed terrorist organization, simultaneous operations were carried out in 14 provinces, centered in Istanbul. As a result of the operation, 16 suspects, including secret police handlers and active police personnel, were apprehended.

Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to uncover the activities of the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization, it was determined that some suspects had whistleblower testimonies against them regarding their membership in the organization, data records in an SD card obtained from a secret witness codenamed 'garson' (waiter), Bank Asya accounts, and records of sequential calls used as the organization's secret communication method.
Within the framework of the investigation, 4 secret police imams who operated within the organization's secret police structure and were responsible for police academy students were identified. These individuals were found to have had contact between 2012 and 2014 via operational lines used by those in the secret police structure with students who were studying at the Police Academy Presidency Arnavutköy Police Vocational Training Center (POMEM) and Şükrü Balcı Police Vocational School (PMYO) at the time.
16 SUSPECTS APPREHENDED
Furthermore, 14 police personnel, including 11 active and 3 dismissed, were identified. Simultaneous operations were carried out in 14 provinces, centered in Istanbul and including Ankara, Antalya, Ardahan, Bartın, Bursa, Düzce, Hatay, İzmir, Kilis, Mersin, Mardin, Osmaniye, and Tekirdağ, targeting a total of 18 identified suspects. As a result of the operation, 16 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. It was learned that 2 suspects are abroad.
