In an operation conducted in Istanbul against the armed criminal organization known as the "Redkitler gang," 31 suspects were taken into custody.

Under the coordination of the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, teams from the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Organized Crime Branch carried out an operation against the armed criminal organization known as the "Redkitler gang."

During the operation, searches conducted at residences and workplaces in Bağcılar, Bahçelievler, and Küçükçekmece resulted in the seizure of 2 unlicensed pistols, 1 shotgun, 3 bulletproof vests, and a large number of cartridges.

THEY ALSO ATTACKED THE ANADOLU GFB STAND LEADER!

It was learned that the criminal organization operated out of Bahçelievler, frequently engaged in armed clashes with members of the "Daltonlar" armed criminal organization due to conflicts of interest in order to seize dominance in the region, and that the organization's leader, F.D., also carried out an armed attack on Genç Fenerbahçeliler stand leader C.G. in Bağcılar in August 2023 to take over the leadership of the Fenerbahçe stands.

It was determined that the organization also carried out the armed attack in January 2024 targeting Anadolu Genç Fenerbahçeliler stand leader İ.G., in which Ş.K. lost his life, and 22 criminal acts by the organization and 54 instances of possession of unlicensed weapons were identified during the investigation.

In the operation carried out today by the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Organized Crime Branch teams against the criminal organization, 31 out of a total of 61 suspects—including those identified as being abroad or in prison—were apprehended and taken into custody.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
