Operation against terrorist organization ISIS in Istanbul: 13 people apprehended
In an operation conducted against the terrorist organization ISIS in Istanbul, 13 suspects were apprehended for allegedly carrying out the organization's current propaganda activities and spreading propaganda through social media channels.

Units affiliated with the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Counter-Terrorism (TEM) Branch and the Intelligence Branch conducted a new operation targeting the domestic actions and activities of the extremist radical terrorist organization ISIS.
Following instructions from the prosecutor's office, police tracked individuals identified as having links to the global terrorist organization and who were understood to be conducting activities affiliated with ISIS and spreading the organization's propaganda through social media channels, leading to the decision to launch an operation.
Following technical and physical surveillance of individuals sympathetic to the organization, simultaneous raids were carried out on numerous addresses this morning. During the operation, which was supported by special operations teams, 13 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. During searches of the suspects' residences, all technological devices belonging to the suspects, including mobile phones, computers, external hard drives, and USB memory sticks, were seized.
The detained ISIS suspects were taken to the Counter-Terrorism Branch for questioning. The investigation into the suspects apprehended during the police operation is ongoing.
