Operation against those selling weapons on social media! 6 people detained
In an operation conducted by gendarmerie teams in Eyüpsultan, 6 suspects identified as being involved in illegal arms trafficking were detained.

Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams took action following information that certain suspects were promoting and selling unlicensed pistols, which they had obtained through illegal means, via social media applications.
Following long-term surveillance, the teams determined that the suspects were hiding the unlicensed weapons in their possession at 3 separate addresses in Eyüpsultan. Upon determining that the weapons were about to be transported, the teams launched an operation at the aforementioned addresses and apprehended B.D, Ç.A, H.H, B.A, A.O., and Ö.A.
During searches conducted at the suspects' addresses and in their vehicles, 32 unlicensed pistols of various calibers and brands, 26 pump-action shotguns, 32 magazines, and 128 cartridges were seized. The seized weapons were sent to the Istanbul Gendarmerie Criminal Laboratory Directorate for examination.
The 6 suspects, whose procedures at the gendarmerie were completed, were referred to the courthouse.
