Operation by Istanbul Police against criminal organizations: 28 detained
The Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Branch conducted an operation against organized crime groups. A total of 28 people were detained in the Istanbul-based operations targeting 7 separate organizations.

As part of the efforts conducted by the Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Branch in coordination with the Intelligence Branch, and under the supervision of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out in the districts of Başakşehir, Güngören, Avcılar, Maltepe, Fatih, Esenyurt, Kağıthane, and Bağcılar against 7 separate criminal organizations whose leaders were determined to be abroad.
28 PEOPLE DETAINED
In simultaneous operations conducted in Istanbul and Bursa on July 28, 28 suspects were detained after being identified as involved in numerous crimes, primarily "Intentionally Endangering General Security, Property Damage, Violation of Law No. 6136, and Threats." During searches at the raided addresses, 4 unlicensed pistols and 1 pump-action shotgun were seized.
In a statement issued by the Police Department, it was noted that "The investigation process regarding the operation is ongoing."
