Operation targeting CHP municipalities: Detainees undergo health checks
Ten people detained during an operation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday targeting CHP municipalities have been referred to the courthouse following the completion of their health checks. The deputy mayors of Kartal and Ataşehir are among those detained.

Ten people detained in Istanbul on Tuesday (February 11) during an operation targeting 9 municipalities as part of the 'urban consensus' investigation have been referred to the courthouse after the completion of their police procedures.
The 10 individuals, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were brought to Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital for health checks. Following the completion of the procedures at the hospital, they were referred to the courthouse.
THEY HAVE BEEN IN CUSTODY FOR 2 DAYS
Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 10 people were detained on Tuesday, February 11.
Among those detained were the deputy mayors of Kartal and Ataşehir, as well as municipal council members from Üsküdar and Şişli.
In the operation conducted by the Istanbul Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau, Kartal Deputy Mayor C.Y., Ataşehir Deputy Mayor L.G., Üsküdar Municipal Council Member B.K., Sancaktepe Municipal Council Member E.G., Fatih Municipal Council Member G.A., Tuzla Municipal Council Member H.Ö., Adalar Municipal Council Member N.A., Şişli Municipal Council Member S.G., Beyoğlu Municipal Council Member T.Ş., and I.P., who is alleged to have ties to the Beyoğlu Municipality, were detained.
In a statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated: "Considering that the 'urban consensus' formula is an organizational system above the DEM Party, and that the formations within the organization (DBP, HDK) that carry out work specifically on organization are the main institutions that develop and manage the organization's grassroots (public) organizing system, it has been understood that the aforementioned suspects are members of the organization operating within the scope of the terrorist organization's urban consensus activity..."
