Operations in 57 provinces: Approximately 1 ton of narcotics seized

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account that "Narkoçelik-41" operations were carried out in 57 provinces under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the General Directorate of Security's Department of Anti-Narcotic Crimes.

Reporting that the operations were conducted with the participation of 1,603 teams, 4,127 personnel, 25 aircraft, and 41 narcotic detector dogs, Yerlikaya provided information that 967 kilograms of narcotics and 5 million 857 thousand 520 drug pills were seized, and 644 drug traffickers and street dealers were apprehended.

Yerlikaya noted the following:

"I want our dear nation to know that we are determined to cleanse our country of drug traffickers and street dealers. I congratulate our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices that coordinated the operations and our heroic police officers who carried them out. May God protect you. The prayers of our nation are with you."
