Operator dies tragically during demolition of heavily damaged building

In the Dulkadiroğlu district of Kahramanmaraş, an operator lost his life after a heavily damaged building collapsed onto his construction machinery during demolition.

BODY RECOVERED FROM THE DEBRIS

In the Doğukent neighborhood, a 7-story heavily damaged building collapsed onto the construction machinery during controlled demolition work. Upon notification, fire department, AFAD, security forces, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Search and rescue efforts were initiated by the teams to rescue the construction machinery operator, Muhammet Gök (28), who remained trapped in the debris.

After approximately 3 hours of work, Gök's lifeless body was recovered from the debris. Gök's body was taken to the morgue of the Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Health Practice and Research Hospital for an autopsy.
