Özdağ reacts to AKP figure over 'Newborn Gang' scandal

Former AKP MKYK member Mücahit Birinci used the following expressions regarding the "newborn gang," which referred babies to private hospitals they had agreements with after birth, causing their deaths: "It is not just a gang. It is a Zionist terrorist organization that is targeting the future of the Turkish nation." Reacting to Birinci's words, Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ said, "Do not treat this nation like fools. The Ministry of Health has been under the control of the Menzil sect for 22 years. You have been appointing the ministers and all the bureaucrats for 22 years. You are the ones passing laws related to health. Zionists are killing babies and children in Gaza. You are responsible for the gangs here."

The indictment prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the gang that generated illicit profits by referring babies to contracted hospitals in Istanbul and caused their deaths through negligent behavior has been accepted. While the horrific details in the indictment caused public outrage, criticism directed at the government, especially the Ministry of Health, intensified. AKP's Mücahit Birinci claimed that the 47 suspects, 22 of whom are under arrest and facing trial, were members of a "Zionist terrorist organization." In a post on his social media account, former AKP MKYK member Birinci stated, "Turkey is facing a terrorist organization that is targeting its lineage. It is not just a gang. It is a Zionist terrorist organization that is targeting the future of the Turkish nation."

TARGETED THE TTB

In another post, AKP's Birinci also targeted the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) regarding the incident, saying, "When I said 'these are a terrorist organization with Zionist ambitions,' there were a few so-called internet news sites that downplayed it. What this organization has done in the past and how many Turkish babies were massacred should be investigated! If the Medical Association is ignoring an issue, the Zionists are immediately behind it."

"DO NOT TREAT THIS NATION LIKE FOOLS"

AKP's Mücahit Birinci's use of the term "Zionist terrorist organization" for the "newborn gang" drew a reaction from Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ. Saying, "Get out of here, do not treat this nation like fools," Özdağ stated, "The Ministry of Health has been under the control of the Menzil sect for 22 years. You have been appointing the ministers and all the bureaucrats for 22 years. You are the ones passing laws related to health."
