Bahçeli, the architect of the second opening process dubbed 'Turkey without terrorism,' reiterated his call for the 'right to hope' for Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, which he had first voiced at the very beginning of the process.

At the end of his speech, Bahçeli stated, "Our decision is clear until Anatolia returns to peace, Öcalan to hope, the Ahmets to their positions, and Demirtaş to his home."

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ reacted sharply to this statement by Bahçeli, which has dominated the agenda.

Sharing on his X account, Özdağ stated, "What more can he say... It is now time to choose between the Republic of Turkey founded by Atatürk and surrender to the conditions of Öcalan and the PKK."
