Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş put an end to the debates by giving a clear answer to the question, "Will the CHP have more than one candidate?" In his statement, he emphasized that the party would act in unity and solidarity.

CHP Chairman Özel supported Yavaş's statements regarding his presidential candidacy. Regarding Yavaş's statements on his presidential candidacy, Özel said: "I divide Mansur Bey's sentence into two. One is 'We will definitely win.' I agree with it wholeheartedly.

The second is, 'If my party nominates me.' This is important in terms of emphasizing party discipline. Because it is a matter that cuts off debates such as 'Will the CHP have more than one candidate?' The party he refers to when he says 'We will definitely win' is also the CHP. I think it is an extremely strong sentence," he said.

"I DIVIDE MANSUR BEY'S SENTENCE INTO TWO. ONE IS 'WE WILL DEFINITELY WIN'"

When asked about Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş's statements regarding his presidential candidacy, Özel gave the following response:

"First, I divide Mansur Bey's sentence into two. One is 'We will definitely win.' I agree with it wholeheartedly. The second is, 'If my party nominates me.' This is important in terms of emphasizing party discipline. Because it is a matter that cuts off debates such as 'Will the CHP have more than one candidate?'

Being respectful of the party's decision is the approach expected of him. The party he refers to when he says 'We will definitely win' is also the CHP. I think it is an extremely strong sentence.

Other than that, the CHP is now leaving candidate debates aside. We have a consensus on winning. The party will determine its candidate. There is no other candidate in question. And the whole party will rally around that candidate and we will win the election."

"I DID NOT TAKE OFFENSE"

Regarding the question about the social media post made by the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Özel gave the following response:

“I did not take any offense at my Chairman because I think it stemmed from a lack of information. Because unfortunately, only one sentence was included on Twitter. That Turkey is not a country that will pay bribes. However, as you know, in the statement I made, which was also in many newspapers yesterday, I said the following in my statement in America, in New York. America is a state of law.

No one can escape the law there. If there is a criminal, they must definitely pay the price. If there is anyone from Turkey involved in this crime, they have done a great disservice to Turkey. They must also pay the price. If Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu had read this part of the sentence, he would not have made that assessment.

Unfortunately, I think this issue stemmed from the friends around him and close to him only conveying one sentence on Twitter. Today, we spent the lunch break of the Sinan Ateş trial with Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for about two hours. There was a very sincere atmosphere there. We chatted with each other in a language far from this mistake."
