Özgür Çelik reacts to the blocking of İmamoğlu and his X account: 'Those who hope for censorship are cowards'

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik expressed his reaction to the bans imposed on the social media accounts of IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu in a statement he made via his own social media account.

In his statement, where he summarized the process regarding İmamoğlu, Çelik used striking expressions. Describing the events as censorship, Çelik wrote the following:

Regarding Mayor Ekrem,

They canceled his diploma.

They locked him in a 15-square-meter cell.

They banned his voice in the squares.

They banned his image in marches.

They tried to prevent his posters from being hung.

They shut down his X account with 10 million followers.

They even banned his name from being mentioned in news bulletins.

Now, they are having the X accounts of the Presidential Candidate Office shut down in a great hurry.

Those who hope for censorship are cowards.

They are confused about what to do out of fear.

No matter what they do, the people's government will be established, and Turkey's new President will be Ekrem İmamoğlu!
