Çelik stated, "Let them use whatever method they want, let them deploy whatever pawns and collaborators they wish. Their end is near. The days when Turkey will meet with democracy, justice, prosperity, and peace are closer than expected!"

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that an investigation has been launched into the Istanbul Provincial Congress, where Özgür Çelik was elected provincial chairman. In a statement regarding the matter, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office said, "Our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated investigation proceedings regarding allegations of fraud and violation of election laws during the recent CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress elections."

Özgür Çelik made a statement regarding the investigation and expressed his reaction. Saying, "The AKP has been in opposition in Istanbul since 2019. After the March 31, 2024 elections, it effectively became Turkey's opposition party. Instead of working hard to win the favor of our nation, they are attempting to usurp seats they do not deserve through various investigations," Çelik included the following remarks:

"LET THEM USE WHATEVER METHOD THEY WANT..."

"Now they have launched an investigation into our Istanbul Congress, one of the most important steps of the change that made the CHP the leading party in Turkey, and the flare of that change. Let them use whatever method they want, let them deploy whatever pawns and collaborators they wish. Their end is near. The days when Turkey will meet with democracy, justice, prosperity, and peace are closer than expected!"

The CHP's 38th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress was held on October 8, 2023, at the Haliç Congress Center, and Bahçelievler District Chairman Özgür Çelik was elected Istanbul Provincial Chairman with 342 votes. In this congress, former Istanbul Provincial Chairman Cemal Canpolat received 310 votes.

On the other hand, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had also launched an investigation into allegations that "votes were cast in exchange for money on the day of the convention" during the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention held on November 4-5, 2023.
