Özgür Özel accuses AKP of aggression: 'They are trying to stage a coup against the future ruling party'

In his statement there, Özel said, "If necessary, we will risk death; we will save this country once again. It is not Ekrem İmamoğlu or Mansur Yavaş that they are attacking. They are attacking the will of Istanbul, they are attacking the will of Ankara. They are trying to stage a coup against the party that will govern Turkey in the future, the future ruling party."

Regarding the investigation launched into the concert organizations of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Özgür Özel stated, "In essence, it is not Ekrem İmamoğlu or Mansur Yavaş that they are attacking. They are attacking the will of Istanbul, they are attacking the will of Ankara. They are trying to stage a coup against the party that will govern Turkey in the future, the future ruling party."

Stating that those who saved Turkey fought under difficult conditions and risked death, Özel spoke as follows:

"If necessary, we will risk death; we will save this country once again. It is clear that those who call us 'pro-American, pro-mandate, whatever' when it suits them, and then rush to get a pat on the back from Trump, or those who once said 'Communists to Moscow' and now say 'Nationalists, People's Alliance, let's all go to Moscow, to Beijing together'; while one goes to Washington to seek approval, and the others define a 'TRÇ alliance' on the other side, their contradictions with each other, the fact that they have no trust or belief left in one another, and that the life of that government is over, is plain to see.

That is why, as I always say, in this hall, in the squares, in protests, in factories, in fields, in student shuttles, on student campuses, everywhere, the moral superiority is ours, the psychological superiority is ours, the energy of the majority is ours. We will succeed together with the strength that comes from being right and the power that being together will give us."
