Özgür Özel explains CHP's stance on 'new solution process': 'Whatever I do, whatever I say...'

Following the call by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the visit of DEM Party members Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan to İmralı to meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan continues to remain on the agenda.

While there is curiosity about what will happen in the coming period following the meeting with Öcalan, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has announced his party's stance regarding the new solution process.

In his statement to Yavuz Donat, a columnist for the pro-government Sabah newspaper, Özel said, "I say 'Yes' to a new process that will be conducted sincerely and transparently."

Stating that his only condition is that the Grand National Assembly of Turkey must be involved and that no party should be excluded, Özel said, "Whatever I do... Whatever I say... At every stage, I will look into the eyes of the families of martyrs and veterans."
