Özgür Özel had issued a call: CHP senior officials comment on Kılıçdaroğlu regarding the party congress lawsuit

While the congress lawsuit against the CHP continues to occupy the agenda, party officials have made significant assessments.

According to the report by Cumhuriyet, CHP officials underlined that the congress lawsuit is not on their agenda, noting that the process is being driven by political motives and that a ruling might not even be issued at the hearing on June 30.

The officials stated that reports of a "congress fight within the CHP" are being kept on the agenda intentionally, and recalled Chairman Özgür Özel's statement: "If a decision of nullity or the appointment of a trustee is issued, I will not recognize it. I will protect the will of the delegates, the members, and everyone who voted for us."

Noting that Özel wanted to preempt these debates with these words, party members commented: "The chairman made that statement to end these discussions in the media. The CHP is not a party that will surrender to judicial games. Neither our members nor our voters will accept this. By making a clear statement on this matter, he showed that we will not allow any judicial operations to pass."

Evaluating Özel's remarks regarding Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the officials said: "Our chairman also expressed the public expectation for Kemal Bey to make a statement to end the discussions regarding the congress. The decision here rests with Kemal Bey. He will do what is best for the party."

While Kılıçdaroğlu's silence regarding the allegations about the congress draws attention, figures close to him defend this silence by saying, "Kemal Bey did not start the debate, so why should he be the one to end it?"

Names from the party administration also commented on the issue: "Kemal Bey had mentioned the allegations of irregularity in a television broadcast. The Minister of Justice had also stated that the investigation began after that. Now, what is expected of Kemal Bey is to be prudent. To end the irregularity debates with a statement of support."

The officials emphasized that the CHP's real agenda is the freedom of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is imprisoned in Silivri Prison, and the rallies held for early elections.

MINIMUM WAGE PROPOSAL TO BE ANNOUNCED

Emphasizing that the postponed Avcılar rally will be held and that they will be in Tekirdağ this weekend, CHP officials shared the information: "Besides this, we have met with unions and employers regarding an interim raise for the minimum wage. We have completed our work. Our chairman will announce both the employer support and our new minimum wage proposal."

 Özel is expected to announce the new minimum wage proposal at the parliamentary group meeting today.
