Özgür Özel in İzmir: 'Our name is Tatar Ramazan, we will break this game'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel issued stern messages regarding the absolute nullity crisis within his party. Referencing the iconic "Tatar Ramazan" character played by the late master actor Kadir İnanır, Özel stated, "Our name is Tatar Ramazan, we will break this game," declaring that they would not allow attempts to obstruct their march to power.

CHP’s elected Chairman Özgür Özel continues his visits across the country.

Following his visits to Diyarbakır and Gaziantep, Özel traveled to İzmir.

The CHP leader visited the Bayçikoop Flower and Women's Cooperative in Bayındır and made statements there.

Reminding that he made the CHP the leading party for the first time in 47 years during the March 31 Local Elections, Özel said:

"As the chairman who made the party the leading party for the first time in 47 years in the elections held 4 months after taking office, and as its management and staff; we will either put our party on the right track as soon as possible, take back our party, and make it the leading party in the first election to be held, just as it is in every poll. Or, if a judicial coup attempts to block our march to power, we will find another way and make the party the government again. There is no other way."

Özel continued his remarks as follows:

"Let them know this well; we will neither leave the Republican People's Party to its fate for those planning to divide it, nor leave it in the hands of the unelected, nor will we be part of the plans of those who want to keep Tayyip Erdoğan in power in some way. May God have mercy on his soul, we laid Kadir İnanır to rest yesterday. In his words, 'Our name is Tatar Ramazan, we will break this game.'"

HE ALSO SPOKE IN ÖDEMİŞ

Following Bayındır, Özgür Özel met with citizens in Ödemiş.

Speaking there, Özel said, "From now on, our struggle is to save our party from the occupation of the Justice and Development Party and its desire to replace the elected Chairman with an appointed one through the judiciary. The struggle is not within the CHP. The struggle is between Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the nation."

Özel stated, "They are staging a coup today against the cadres who will change Erdoğan and bring about a change in government. A coup does not always happen with tanks, cannons, rifles, and military camouflage or uniforms. In these times, the coup happens with a prosecutor's robe. We are against every kind of coup, every kind of coup."

Özel said the following regarding the new party issue:

"We are in our party, but we are in the midst of a new march, a new approach. We are in a new politics, a founding politics, a politics that is marching to power. Whether the party is new or we continue in the existing party, this new march of ours, our new politics, as the new party of housewives, the new party of the youth, the new party of retirees, the new party of laborers, the new party of young people who have lost hope in tomorrow and their families, or as their new politics, heralds a new politics that leaves the old behind, leaves hopelessness behind, leaves behind the days when the rich always won and the poor lost, leaves behind those who show disloyalty to retirees, and protects you from being crushed by anyone with a fair tax system, where we take what is rightfully ours, work together, grow, produce, but share fairly. We are marching to power together."

Stating, "We have no intention of separating, dividing, or leaving anyone behind," Özel said: "What we are leaving behind are personal ambitions, personal stubbornness, and passions. It is the stubbornness of causing Turkey to lose while saying 'Let it be me.' From here, from Ödemiş, I swear that I do not want any position or office for myself, but I want power for Turkey."
