Özgür Özel points to November 30 against trustee appointments: 'Our 414 mayors'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to the successive trustee appointment decisions on his social media account and announced what steps the CHP will take regarding this issue.

Özel expressed his reaction on his social media account following the appointment of a trustee to the CHP-run Ovacık Municipality.

Shortly after his reaction post, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made a statement regarding the steps his party will take concerning the trustee decisions.

Here is that post by Özel;

"In the March 31 elections, the nation initiated a process of power change in Turkey. However, the government is resisting the will of the nation by setting up traps for elected mayors and using the judiciary as a stick.

We are not evaluating the attacks on municipalities individually; we are determined to show our reaction collectively.

On November 30, we have called our 414 mayors to a meeting at our Headquarters to collectively confront trustee municipalism and the government's attacks on municipalities.  

Against this evil that defies the will of the people, we will fight together until the end and take all necessary steps together."
