Özgür Özel reveals 'event' spending by AKP municipalities: He showed the list from the podium
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to the deployment of inspectors based on municipal spending and shared a table with the public containing the costs of "organization service procurement tenders" for municipalities currently held by the AKP or held by the AKP before the local elections.

Upon the request of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, inspectors were appointed by the Ministry of Interior's Inspection Board to examine complaints regarding concerts organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.
Subsequently, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that an ex officio investigation had been launched in coordination with Ministry of Interior inspectors regarding allegations of irregular spending and public loss in connection with various events organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
Following this, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality shared a comparative table of event spending during the AKP and CHP terms.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel also held a press conference on the matter at his party's headquarters.
Showing a list titled "Organization service procurement tenders registered in EKAP," Özel emphasized his criticism that a double standard is being applied in audits of municipal spending.
"Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, organization service, 2023, tender registration number, this is 198 million. So many AK Party municipalities, 198, 85, 79, 69, 64 and so on. Fatih Municipality has 22 million in 2023 money.
Is there an inspector in one of them? Are you sending inspectors to any of them?" asked the CHP leader, adding, "If it's expensive, then all these concerts are expensive. Send inspectors to all of them, investigate all of them, audit them under the same standards, and I will welcome it. But we will not surrender to a perception operation carried out with such injustice," he said.
