Özgür Özel's harsh reaction to the 'expulsion' decision: CHP is not a party for those who seek permission from the Palace or act as its prop

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who became CHP Chairman again following a 'null and void' court ruling, has pressed the button for the 'purification' he mentioned and requested the expulsion of 9 CHP deputies from the party. Özgür Özel responded sharply to the development.

Özgür Özel, who has criticized the court's 'null and void' ruling from the beginning and called on Kılıçdaroğlu—who became CHP Chairman again with this ruling—to hold a party congress as soon as possible, continues to make statements on the matter.

Stating at every opportunity that he works for the CHP, Özel broke his silence following the expulsion decision and made the following statement:

"Those without a mandate, appointed by the AK Party as 'null and void,' cannot serve as Chairman in the CHP...

The 'null and void' administration, tasked with ensuring the continuation of the Erdoğan government, seeks to unlawfully refer our 9 deputies to the disciplinary board.

In the honorable and combative history of the Republican People's Party, those who stood up for democracy and the will of the organization will be remembered with pride. Those who usurped the will and walked the path with fear and oppression will be remembered with shame.

We will continue to defend the voice of the organization and the will of our members against those who try to take over our ancestral home. The CHP is not a party for those who seek permission from the Palace or act as its prop; it is the party of those who fight by paying the price.

Our deputies were elected by the nation, and only the nation can remove them from office. Appointees cannot create a parallel CHP within this party.

This coup will be repelled, and the CHP will be governed by the elected, not the appointed."
