Republican People's Party (CHP) provincial chairs will gather in Esenyurt on November 25.
It is reported that the appointment of trustees, early elections, and the minimum wage will be discussed at the meeting, which will also be attended by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
MINIMUM WAGE CALL
According to a report by Birgün, the meeting will primarily evaluate what actions can be taken against the trustee appointed in Esenyurt. While CHP leader Özel's proposal that “The minimum wage should be 30,000 TL” is expected to be among the meeting's agenda items, the provincial chairs will seek an answer to the question, “How can we amplify the call for a minimum wage of at least 30,000 TL at the local level?”
Following the meeting, the CHP provincial chairs will go to the Esenyurt Municipality to make a joint statement regarding Ahmet Özer, who was replaced by a government-appointed trustee.
AIMING TO PREVENT INTERNAL PARTY DEBATES
Discussions that are claimed to be taking place within the party and are suggested to continue with “calls for a convention” will also be addressed. According to information provided by the provincial chairs, who recalled the joint text published with the signatures of all 81 CHP provincial chairs containing the message “We trust Özgür Özel,” the aim is to prevent the party from being debated on television and social media.
